One former member of the Dallas Cowboys should have a solid market in free agency next offseason.
Former Cowboys offensive lineman Connor Williams spent the first four years of his career as a member of Dallas. He signed a four-year, $5.4 million deal with Dallas as a rookie and shined. He eventually joined the Miami Dolphins ahead of the 2022 campaign and spent the last two years there.
Williams dealt with injuries last season, which hurt his free-agent market this past offseason. He was widely considered one of the best free agents available but was forced to take a smaller-than-expected deal with the Seattle Seahawks.
He has started all six games with the Seahawks, and if he can stay healthy throughout the year, he will be a hot commodity next offseason.
Bleacher Report's scouting department put together a list of team's biggest needs with solutions to the issues and predicted that Williams will land with the Chicago Bears next offseason.
"2025 Free Agency: C Connor Williams, Seattle Seahawks," Bleacher Report said. "Center is a current weakness in Chicago, and Coleman Shelton, along with backup Doug Kramer are impending free agents. So, the position will likely be addressed in the offseason, and Williams will be an interesting option to explore.
"The 27-year-old does have a bad injury history, including ending last season with a torn ACL, which is a big reason why he didn't sign in Seattle until August. But Williams has been a good player when on the field over the last several years. He's been a solid run-blocker for the Seahawks this season with a 71.7 grade from Pro Football Focus in that department heading into this past weekend."
It's too early to predict, but Chicago is an up-and-coming team and adding a veteran like Williams could help.
