It hasn't exactly been an easy adjustment in Dallas with the absence of the Cowboys' star receiver in CeeDee Lamb. The depth at receiver for Dallas has been a bit lacking with question marks outside of Lamb and Brandin Cooks, but one receiver is starting to separate himself in the eyes of his quarterback.
My trust is super, super high in him,” says Prescott of third year receiver Jalen Tolbert. “I trust him with any route, wherever it is, against whoever.”
With that praise Prescott was also sure to remind us that Tolbert has yet to accomplish much in his two seasons with the team, but notes that the sky is the limit.

“I’ll tell him, I’m sure if he watches this and I’ll tell him to his face, he hasn’t done anything yet,” Prescott said. “Another guy that I’m not going to put a ceiling on what his potential can be. ‘Cause as long as he continues to approach the game the way he has, with the intensity, with the focus and with the expectation to be a No. 1 guy, no telling how great he can be.”
Dak Prescott had some high praise for Cowboys WR Jalen Tolbert today: “I told him, your role is to go show that you can be a No. 1 receiver. At minimal, a No. 2 receiver. He’s approached this camp with that intensity, with that mindset.”

Given the uncertainty between the team and Lamb, plus the high expectations of the season, there is no better time for a breakout season for any of the more unknown Cowboys receivers. Tolbert clearly has the faith of his quarterback and the all the potential in the world, if he can capture some of that potential and turn into a star, it would certainly alleviate some of the pressure going into this and next season.
