The Dallas Cowboys are in an unfamiliar territory.
Dallas currently is in third place in the NFC East after being blown out by the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The Cowboys are 3-3 on the young season, and speculation already is running wild about moves that could be made.
Will the Cowboys bring in a star ahead of the National Football League trade deadline? Will the Cowboys make a change at head coach? How will the Cowboys respond to their early season struggles?
It seems like anything could happen at this point. The Cowboys could use a boost now and likely will find one. Dallas will also need to go back to the drawing board next offseason and add more firepower to the defense.
Bleacher Report's scouting department puts together a list of each team's weaknesses with ways to fix them now, next offseason, and in the draft. With the Cowboys needing some help on defense, Bleacher Report predicted that the franchise will sign Carolina Panthers cornerback Jordan Fuller next offseason.
"2025 Free Agency: S Jordan Fuller, Carolina Panthers," Bleacher Report said. "Safety is a current weakness in Dallas, and the club has a few impending free agents at the position this offseason, meaning the front office will at least be looking to add some depth to the position in the spring.
"Fuller would be a good option, as he's been a solid all-around player throughout his career. For example, he had 94 total tackles, three interceptions, eight passes defended, and three forced fumbles for the Rams in 2023. Plus, it's a bonus that he doesn't even turn 27 until March."
He currently is on a one-year, $3.25 million deal with the Panthers and has 15 tackles in three games. Maybe he could work for the Cowboys, but the team has more pressing needs.
