The Dallas Cowboys have somehow been quiet and loud this offseason.
They've lost a large number of free agents, haven't paid their biggest stars, and their largest import was bringing back the used Honda Civic version of Ezekiel Elliott.
It's the lack of payment to their biggest playmakers, though, that has one of their most legendary players becoming very critical of how they do business.
While speaking to RJ Ochoa of Blogging The Boys, Hall of Fame running back Emmitt Smith discussed the contract situations of Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb, and said Lamb not being in training camp could hurt the Cowboys.
"Let’s make this very clear, [Lamb] is a very, very valuable asset to the Dallas Cowboys," Smith said. "He is a very, very valuable asset to Dak Prescott. Without him on the football field, they’re putting all of the pressure on Dak Prescott now. And that is unacceptable. Because every quarterback of his caliber should have quality people to throw the ball to. Not no Plan B or no Plan C or no Plan D guy. He should be in a position, as your franchise quarterback, he should be in a position to be successful. And right now you putting him behind the eight ball. And that is not right. And that’s how I see it.”

The 2024 offseason has been complete malpractice by the Cowboys, and the season to follow is one of the most crucial and consequential in recent memory.
