The Cleveland Browns have an absolutely disastrous situation at quarterback right now, as Deshaun Watson looks like a shell of the signal-caller who was once on a superstar trajectory during his days with the Houston Texans.
Despite having several off-the-field issues with sexual assault allegations, the Browns decided to trade for Watson and sign him to a massive $230 million, fully guaranteed contract that has completely blown up in their faces.
Entering the Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Watson had completed 60% of his passes for for 3,069 yards and 19 touchdowns to 12 interceptions over two-plus seasons and 17 games as the Browns' starter.
As if his weekly putrid showings on the field weren't enough, Watson also had an awful third-down streak going. As FOX analyst and NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan pointed out, Watson hadn't converted on a third down in 25 straight tries following the Browns starting out 0-for-7 in that area on Sunday.
Michael Strahan just delivered this stat on FOX halftime—Deshaun Watson's 0 for his last 25 third downs. That's WILD.

Shockingly, Watson and the Browns were able to convert a pair of third-down tries since Watson hit that mark, but we're not holding our breath for things to suddenly turn around as a result.
There have rightly been calls for the Browns to bench Watson, who is sinking his team's season. However, Cleveland has remained steadfast in keeping the signal-caller under center.
The Browns do have Jameis Winston backing Watson up, and while he isn't a great player by any stretch, he couldn't be any worse than what Watson has put out there.
