Cleveland Browns 2024 schedule leaks tracker: The latest news, rumors image

The 2024 season is a crucial one for a Browns team coming off their second playoff appearance under head coach Kevin Stefanski.

The fifth-year head coach is coming off his second NFL Coach of the Year award after leading a team that saw key injuries to three different starting quarterbacks, linemen, receivers and defensive contributors. But the season ended in stunning heartbreak when they lost to the Texans in the first game of Wild Card weekend, 45-14.

The Browns have continued to say that Deshaun Watson will be fully healthy for the upcoming season and is slated to play his first full year with the team since being acquired three summers ago. The NFL plans to announce the full slate of 2024 games on May 15, but we've already heard some indications about how Cleveland's schedule will shake out.

Because the team finished second in the AFC North in 2023, the Browns drew a second-place schedule, with added games against the Jaguars and Dolphins. They will also play the entire AFC West, including the Super Bowl champion Chiefs, and the NFC East. Most strength of schedule metrics have the Browns facing off against one of the three hardest schedules in the NFL, with most metrics showing Cleveland with the toughest strength of schedule.

Here are the latest lakes, rumors and rumblings around the Jets' 2024 NFL schedule.

Week 1 vs. Cowboys

On Monday, Fox Sports' Michael Strahan said the Cowboys will travel to Cleveland in Week 1 to square off with the Browns at 4:25 p.m. In what should be the most intriguing matchup against an NFC East opponent this season, the Browns are headed for primetime to open up the 2024 campaign.

And they get Tom Brady on the call, who's making his broadcasting debut as a color commentator. Brady didn't even mention the Browns when talking about his excitement for this game, rather stating how excited he was to see what Dak Prescott and "America's Team" will be able to do to begin the year.

London game vs. Jaguars

There's a chance that the Jaguars and the Browns square off in London, as Jacksonville will play in England this year and they're considered a road game for Cleveland. The Browns played just once in London in 2017 when they lost 33-16 to the Vikings. They're one of just seven NFL teams to have played just one international game thus far.

Because Philadelphia's potential opponent for their game in Brazil came down to Cleveland and Green Bay, rumors have begun to crop up that the NFL wants to put Cleveland in an international game this year.

Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot reported that the potential teams are down to the Browns, Jets and Patriots, also adding that the Browns have a "good chance" to be the opponent.

Week 2

All we know about Week 2 is that Cleveland will not be playing the Bengals, Chiefs or Dolphins. The Browns' in-state rival will take on the Chiefs in Kansas City, one week after the Chiefs play the Ravens. Miami, meanwhile, will play the Bills in Week 2 on Thursday Night Football.
