The Browns don't have a first-round pick, but that doesn't mean they can't add a difference-maker in the second round of the 2024 NFL draft.

Cleveland will reportedly meet Texas tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders this week for a top-30 visit, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Sanders could be the first tight end taken off the board following Brock Bowers and could be a target for the Browns at No. 54. He caught 45 receptions for 682 yards and two touchdowns in 2023 after tallying 54 catches for 613 yards and five touchdowns in 2022.

The Browns aren't in desperate need of a tight end with David Njoku locked in following a career year, but Sanders would give Deshaun Watson another big-bodied weapon in the middle of the field. At 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, Sanders could be a menace for linebackers and defensive backs alike.

Cleveland's pass-catching core is deep already with Njoku and receivers Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore and Jerry Jeudy. Cooper and Moore are in the final years of their contracts, though, and Njoku doesn't have any guaranteed money left on his deal after 2024.

Sanders would be a costly luxury pick in the second round for the Browns considering the team's other needs, though. While he would upgrade the offense, he wouldn't be an every-snap player for Cleveland. The visit makes sense, but this team has other issues to solve if they want to make it further into the postseason in 2024.
