There could be a flurry of trades over the next few weeks in the National Football League.
Teams are about to have to start trimming down rosters with the 2024 National Football League season on the horizon and the Miami Dolphins are a team that could look to capitalize and add to the roster.
Miami isn't far away from being considered among the top contenders in the AFC but could use a little boost on defense. One player who has been linked to the Dolphins as a possible trade candidate is former Chicago Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris by Bleacher Report's Alex Ballentine.
"Specifically, the Dolphins overhauled some of their defensive personnel," Ballentine said. "While swapping out Jerome Baker for Jordyn Brooks could be a wash, and losing Christian Wilkins could move the needle in the wrong direction for Miami. It's hard to replace an interior disruptor like Wilkins. He was an elite run defender and started putting together some pass-rush production last season. Signing Calais Campbell will help, but he's 37 years old.
"A trade for Roy Robertson-Harris could help. The 31-year-old is a stout run defender and has chipped in at least three sacks in each of the last three seasons. The Jaguars signed Arik Armstead and drafted Maason Smith, leaving Robertson-Harris's role for the 2024 season in question."
Robertson-Harris spent the first four seasons of his National Football League career with the Bears and has been with the Jacksonville Jaguars over the last three years. He has plenty left in the tank at just 31 years old. Don't be surprised if he ends up getting moved.
