On Sunday, Oct. 13, the Chicago Bears look to move their regular-season winning percentage in London, England to above .500.
In their two previous regular-season games in London, the Bears defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-18 at Wembley Stadium in 2011 and lost to the Oakland Raiders 24-21 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2019.
Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars will also be played to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
25 years before the Bears took on the Raiders in Wembley, the team played a preseason game dubbed the "American Bowl" against the Dallas Cowboys in the same stadium on Aug. 3, 1986. The Bears won 17-6.
Fresh off a historic Super Bowl run that ended with a championship for Mike Ditka, Walter Payton, Jim McMahon and more, the game was played in front of more than 86,000 fans.
Week 6 in 2024 means more to the Bears than their historical performance across the pond. Fresh off the best game of Caleb Williams' career, the Bears need a win over the Jaguars to remain amplify playoff hopes deeper into the season. Only one team will play a tougher schedule for the rest of the year.
