Chicago Bears No. 1 overall pick and quarterback Caleb Williams has gone through some early growing pains ahead of his first season, which is to be expected.

However, that's not a big deal as long as he keeps improving while showing flashes along the way, the latter of which he absolutely did during a practice at organized team activities this week.

On Thursday, the Bears posted a clip of Williams throwing an absolute dime to fellow rookie and wide receiver Rome Odunze. The USC product drops it right in the bucket to Odunze and just over the coverage of cornerback Tyrique Stevenson.

Check it out for yourself:

Williams reportedly had a rough showing at last week's open practice at OTAs, where he completed just three passes during 7-on-7 work while also throwing multiple near interceptions and incomplete passes.

But struggling like that is not surprising for a young quarterback, especially when he's going up against a good defense like Chicago's. Also, Williams did not have Odunze, Keenan Allen, Nate Davis or Darnell Wright on the field. That makes a difference

After the team posted the clip, Bears fans were understandably excited to see the beautiful pass.

After a 7-10 campaign, the Bears have a great shot to make a run at the playoffs. If Williams can consistently replicate the kind of throw he made in the clip, we'll be seeing Chicago Bears postseason football for the first time since the 2020 season.
