The Chicago Bears have been extremely busy this offseason but it doesn't sound like they are done making moves.

July officially is here and that means that training camp is just a few weeks away now. The Bears seem to be in a great spot at this point in comparison to the end of the 2023 campaign. Chicago realistically could end up making its way back to the postseason back in 2024 but it could make some sense to add some more depth.

Chicago added young phenom Caleb Williams to take over the quarterback spot, but there isn't much depth behind him. The Athletic's Kevin Fishbain suggested that former Pro Bowler Ryan Tannehill could be an option if the Bears want to add more depth.

"As far as talent, the Bears like (Tyson Bagent)," Fishbain said. "He proved himself capable last season, winning two games. There might be quarterbacks out there (see: Tannehill, Ryan) who would be better at leading the offense if needed, but the Bears can go that route if an injury occurred. A starter in the league might not fit as the best No. 2 to the top pick in the draft."

Tannehill has been mentioned as an option for the Bears before and it's not hard to see why. He has had success as a starter in the NFL and has a career 81-70 record. He has 216 career touchdown passes and certainly could be a great backup option if Williams were to go down with an injury.

As Fishbain noted, the Bears may not want to add someone unless an injury pops up, but it could make a lot of sense. Chicago has some high hopes for the 2024 campaign and adding someone like Tannehill could be a great backup option.
