The Buffalo Bills are 3-0, and Josh Allen has been the unquestioned best player in the league through three weeks of the young NFL season. However, despite the hot start, people still can't seem to stop talking about Stefon Diggs.
The star receiver was traded by the Bills to the Houston Texans back in March, which led many to say the Bills would fall off this season. Buffalo's approach to the receiving corps this season is "Everybody eats" and Allen has been very complimentary to his group of pass-catchers. The star quarterback did, however, take exception to those who have been trying to make his compliments to his current players and cite them as digs (no pun intended) toward his former receiver.
"I know there's a lot of people talking out there," Allen said. "Again, I'm not trying to tear down anybody. I've loved everybody that I've played with and you don't have to tear other people down to build each other up."
When a reporter asked Allen what he meant by that, he quickly replied.
"You know what I mean," Allen said. "I love 14 [Diggs]. I still do, but everyone wants to keep making this thing a thing and we're so focused on what's going on inside of our building and that's the only thing we're caring about right now."
Allen and the offense have been playing as well as they ever have in his career, leading the NFL in EPA per play and scoring north of 30 points in every game they've played thus far. Allen has nine total touchdowns to zero interceptions, and 10 different players have caught passes this season.
