The Buffalo Bills made headlines when they traded four-time Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans, ending the duo between the receiver and superstar quarterback Josh Allen.
There were several rumors going around that Allen and Diggs had a falling out that was never fully repaired, and a Tyler Dunne piece on Go Long gave details into the fact that Diggs didn’t like playing for Sean McDermott.
With all of that said, there doesn’t seem to be any hard feelings from Allen towards Diggs. In an appearance on Green Light with Chris Long, the titular host noted that a lot of people seem to be doubting the Bills since they traded Diggs. Long added that Diggs is a great player, but that Buffalo has the potential to be better than they were a year ago.
“I’m with you on Diggs,” Allen said. “I still love that guy like a brother, and he was so good for us here… we had a lot of fun, too. People can say what they want to say, but we had a lot of success and a lot of fun doing it - on and off the field. We were very [close]. I hate how it ended, but at some point everything comes to an end.”
While the elite duo went their separate ways, the Bills and Allen still have a job to do - get over the playoff hump and win a Super Bowl. And they’ll now try to do it without Diggs.
