Josh Allen has made a living out of highlight plays. Whether it is one of his countless jaw-dropping throws, or a run where he is plowing over a defender to get into the end zone, the Buffalo Bills' star is one of the most talented players in the league and one of the few where you always have to watch because something special could happen.
In a recent appearance on Green Light with Chris Long, the former defensive end brought up Allen’s uncanny ability to hurdle defenders, which garnered a laugh from the superstar quarterback. Long asked Allen if he has ever had a moment in the air where he regretted trying to leap over a player.
“Two years ago against the Patriots,” Allen said. “I think it was one of the McCourty twins - helmet straight in between the legs. Yeah, that one felt good… I felt like Ricky Bobby - ‘yup, I’m in the air. This is not good.’”
While Bills fans have to hold their breath every time Allen takes to the air, his ability to make the extraordinary look routine is what makes him so special. He and the Bills will begin their 2024 regular season a week from Sunday in Buffalo against the Arizona Cardinals.
