Josh Allen is one of the best players in the NFL, and one of the best quarterbacks the league has seen in quite sometime. However, his pay no longer reflects that.
Allen is currently the 13th highest-paid quarterback in the NFL after an offseason full of new deals for quarterbacks. However, the only quarterback with 40 touchdowns in four consecutive seasons isn't at all bothered. in fact, he's happy.
"I love it for those guys," Allen said on Up & Adams. "Tua [Tagovailoa] said this not to long ago - the market is the market. And it doesn't matter. They APY, this and that, cash flow. There's so much different ways that you can look at a contract.... I'm all for guys getting paid. This is a league where, it's the NFL - Not For Long - everybody's been saying that since I was a rookie. You've got to appreciate your time in this league and understand when to strike. And for quarterbacks, when your time is up, it's your time to get a deal. So I'm just happy guys are getting paid because that's generational wealth for them and their families."
