The Buffalo Bills were humbled in physical fashion, suffering a 35-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens and falling to 3-1 on the season. However, in the early stages of the first half, it looked like the Bills were cooking a massive comeback.
The Bills held the Ravens on the opening drive and scored a touchdown following a absolutely hysterical throw from Josh Allen that resulted in a 52 yard completion to Khalil Shakir. With the score 21-20, the Bills got another defensive stop and looked as if they were about to drive and bring the game within one score. Unfortunately, Joe Brady got cute and it halted all momentum. Curtis Samuel took a direct snap and ran to his left to pitch the ball to Allen, who was loading up to throw downfield when he was hit and fumbled the ball, which was recovered by the Ravens and all but ended the game. Head coach Sean McDermott was asked about the play afterwards.
"That is something Joe and I will talk about," McDermott said. "Something we'll learn from there... [there was] certainly a momentum change."
The Bills will head to Houston next week in their first matchup against Stefon Diggs since trading him over the offseason.
