Josh Allen is one of the finest quarterbacks in the NFL. He is the only quarterback in history to score 40 or more total touchdowns in four consecutive seasons, and he leads the NFL in total touchdowns since entering the NFL.
Despite that, an anonymous NFL executive said Allen is “one of the more overrated players in the NFL” via ESPN.
“[He’s an] immense talent but he makes a lot of mistakes,” the executive said. “He’s underdeveloped at winning at the line of scrimmage, tends to lock onto targets, [he’s] more of a thrower than a precision passer, [and he] forces throws into traffic.”
Bills’ GM Brandon Beane was asked about this quote at Bills training camp, to which he gave a very frank and honest reply.
“There’s idiots everywhere,” Beane said.

There really are. Every team in the NFL not named the Chiefs would trade their quarterback for Allen. Few quarterbacks in the history of the game can do what Allen does, and Buffalo isn’t anywhere near where they are today without No. 17 under center.
