Earlier Wednesday morning, the Buffalo Bills woke up the football world by sending wide receiver Stefon Diggs and two day three picks to the Houston Texans for the 42nd overall pick. It was a surprising move to say the least, as Diggs carries a $31 million dead cap hit in 2024.
While it is surprising, it shouldn't be. Diggs has been tweeting some cryptic things lately and while that is commonplace for Diggs, it is something that has unofficially led to a trade in the past when the Minnesota Vikings sent him to the Bills just hours after he tweeted about new beginnings.
Needless to say that the Bills fanbase was shocked by the news on the trade, especially when you consider the dead cap hit that he will incur for the 2024 season.
This cap hit is going to be massive.

That sound you can hear is the Bills championship window closing. Still a very talented roster but you do feel they've missed their opportunity. https://t.co/cvpW6RYpsZ
