The Buffalo Bills concluded their preseason with a 31-26 loss to the Carolina Panthers and will now gear up to play the Arizona Cardinals two weeks from Sunday. However, many won't make it to Week 1 as the Bills will begin trimming their roster down to 53 players.
Wide receiver Tyrell Shavers is one of those players on the roster bubble, and he was very candid about how the next few days will be for him during this cut period.
"Stressful," Shavers said. "We'll see what happens."
Shavers also added that he felt like he did enough over the course of the preseason to make the 53-man roster, and that the Week 3 matchup with the Panthers was his Super Bowl.
"[I] came in treating it like there was a championship on the line," Shavers said.
Shavers had two catches in the preseason finale to take his preseason total to four. He also has shown ability to provide blocking support on the outside as he tries to crack one of the final spots on the Bills' depth chart.
