Baltimore Ravens' John Harbaugh gets flattering head coaching ranking by Colin Cowherd image

Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh doesn't often get the national praise of coaches like Andy Reid or Sean McVay, but he is undoubtedly one of the best in the NFL.

Fox Sports' Colin Cowherd certainly sees it that way.

Cowherd ranked his top 10 coaches in the NFL and placed Harbaugh third, behind only Reid and McVay.

Speaking on "The Herd," Cowherd called Harbaugh "the most underrated coach, maybe of my lifetime."

"No. 1 scoring defense under John Harbaugh. They always have great special teams, often best in the league, under John Harbaugh. And right now they have the best rushing offense in the NFL under John Harbaugh. All three elements of the sport. Defense: elite. Special teams: elite. Run game: elite. The guy can flat-out coach," Cowherd said.

As Cowherd went on to note, Harbaugh's resumé is also strong: a 160-99 record over 16 seasons with the Ravens, five division titles, 11 playoff appearances, and a Super Bowl win in 2012.

The Ravens have been knocking on the door for a second Super Bowl over the last five seasons, too. Since 2019, the Ravens have gone 56-27, made the playoffs four times, and gone 2-4 in the playoffs. Last year, the Ravens made the AFC Championship but lost to the Chiefs in a game where their offense stalled out. That loss has forced a lot of reflection within the organization, and the Ravens seemed determined to make it back there this season and get over the hump.

Here's Harbaugh's list and a clip of his ranking below.
