Baltimore Ravens linebacker Odafe Oweh is searching for a new way to tackle.
At least, that's what Oweh said after the Ravens beat the Dallas Dowboys, 28-25, in a closer-than-it-should-have-been game that saw Baltimore nearly blow a 22-point lead in the fourth quarter.
Oweh, one of the bright spots of the season for Baltimore, played a part in the near-collapse, with a roughing-the-passer penalty with 3:50 in the fourth quarter that moved the Cowboys up to the Ravens' 34-yard line.
To most viewers, the hit looked clean, as Oweh hit Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott as the ball left his hands and knocked him backwards.
However, the flag appeared to because Oweh got his hands around Prescott, planted his feet, then tackled Prescott backwards, giving some extra emphasis to the hit.

The Cowboys went on to score a touchdown five plays later, making it a 28-25 game.
After the game, Oweh made a funny, sarcastic comment about the penalty.
"I have to find a way to put him down more gently," Oweh told reporters.
Many people in the NFL world were still perplexed by the call.

Roughing the passer????

How is that roughing the passer? Odafe Oweh hit Dak Prescott as he was throwing the ball and hit him right in the midsection. There's little lift. It's a normal tackle.

Iffy call or not, the Ravens nearly blew the game because of their inability to avoid penalties. For the game, Baltimore committed 13 penalties for 105 yards.
The Ravens ultimately did enough to overcome those penalties on Sunday, but it's been a consistent problem all season — the Ravens lead the NFL in penalties.
Baltimore finally got its first win of the season in Week 3, but they still have lots to clean up going forward.
