The Baltimore Ravens 2024 schedule is out, and it's a doozy.
The Ravens have the second hardest schedule in the league and play a league-high 10 teams who made the playoffs last season. Additionally, the AFC North looks improved heading into the year, meaning each of the six division games could be battles.
As if that wasn't enough, the Ravens don't have a bye until Week 14.
And if that's not enough, their also have a brutal December stretch that could have a major impact on their season, just as they enter the thick of the playoff race.
Here's the Ravens' December schedule:
Week 13, 12/1: vs PHI, 4:25
Week 14: BYE
Week 15, 12/15: at NYG, 1:00
Week 16, 12/21: vs. PIT, 4:30
Week 17, 12/25: at HOU, 4:30
The Ravens play what should be a tough team in the Eagles on Sunday (in what is a short week, as they play on Monday Night Football in Week 12).
They finally reach the bye the following week, but they then have a wild stretch that features three games in ten days.
The Ravens return from their bye to play the Giants on the road in Week 15. They then play a Saturday division game against the Steelers. And the short week is compounded by another incredibly short week, as they play that Wednesday, Christmas Day, on the road.
It seems like something of a blunder by the NFL schedule-makers to make the Ravens play on short weeks in back-to-back weeks, especially with a Christmas Day game in there for a second straight year.
For it to happen in the final leg of the season, when the playoff race gets tight, is also a brutal turn of events for the Ravens.
Ultimately, every team has a stretch of the schedule they find challenging. The Ravens have hopes of contending for a Super Bowl, and this will be one of the major challenges they have to overcome.
