The Baltimore Ravens could still use some size upfront before the 2024 NFL season kicks off, according to NFL analyst Aaron Schatz.

Writing for ESPN, Schatz, an NFL analytics pioneer, identified left guard as the biggest remaining hole on the Ravens after the NFL draft.

As Schatz noted, the current projected starter at left guard is Andrew Vorhees, who fell to the seventh round in the 2023 draft and didn't play his rookie year because of a torn ACL. He had been a projected Day 2 pick prior to the injury.

If Vorhees isn't ready, Schatz said the Ravens could start Malaesala Aumavae-Laulu, a 2023 sixth-round pick who was a healthy inactive last season, or move swing tackle Patrick Mekari over to left guard.

Offensive line has been a source of concern for the Ravens all offseason after they lost several starters in free agency. Baltimore did draft offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten in the second round, a pick many draft experts liked.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh had previously told reporters that he was confident that the team would still field a strong offensive line.

Alas, the offseason is not over — there are plenty of good remaining free agents if the Ravens feel they need to bolster the offensive line.
