Remember the annual Atlanta Falcons Kicker Younghoe Koo preseason struggle, fan stress meltdown? All the people who worried. Only to be followed by an 89.1% career Field Goal percentage (4th all-time) and performances like Sunday afternoon against Dennis Allen’s team.
58 yard game winner, 53 yarder, 44, & lastly a 42 yard Field Goal.
Last week featured Punter Bradley Pinion, this week featured Kicker Koo. A muffed punt recovery for a TD, a Pick 6, and 14 kicker points…A kick returner next week?
Troy Andersen
17 tackles!? The Pick 6 that ultimately won the game could be left out of this article and Troy Andersen still be included. I’ll tell you though, I don’t think #44’s teammates would like it very much if he weren’t included.
Best part about watching back Troy Andersen's performance is seeing how hyped up his teammates were for him, they knew this ability was there.

Andersen makes an unreal inside-out play on Kamara and defensive captain Jessie Bates is the first one on the scene to hype him up pic.twitter.com/Ecbfp0CfeS
While some of us fans and media cracked jokes about the classic “We are going to play fast and free” defensive introduction from Defensive Coordinator Jimmy Lake, Andersen’s performance Sunday on tape displays aggressive open field 4.42 speed wide-open.
A quick note: Troy Andersen recorded the highest top speed of any defensive player in Week 4, as of 9/29, reaching a top speed of 19.96 mph on his pick-six. This is the second-fastest top speed by a defensive player this year.

.@AtlantaFalcons @troy_andersen what a day...built the defense for him to run...chase...and hit everything that moves...and he delivered. #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/fppnkHNLq5

A situation where someone needed to step up in Nate Landman’s injury absence, Andersen more than stepped up, having his career best game in his 10th start as an Atlanta Falcon since being taken 58th overall in 2022.
“How many times have you watched the Troy Andersen pick 6?”
