The Atlanta Falcons announced they have signed cornerback Harrison Hand on Tuesday. Hand was drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 draft out of Temple by the Minnesota Vikings. In his first season, he appeared in 14 games, splitting time between special teams and situational defensive snaps. Since joining the league, Hand has played for the Vikings, New York Giants and Chicago Bears.

In a corresponding move, undrafted free agent Anthony Sao was released. As special teams becomes a much louder part of the game with the new kickoff rules, finding worthwhile players in that phase is becoming that much more important.

In his short three-year career, Hand has accumulated 34 tackles (28 solo), one forced fumble, four pass deflections and an interception.
