The Atlanta Falcons select Illinois wide receiver Casey Washington with the 187th pick in 2024 NFL Draft. Atlanta finally addresses the wide receiver position with a 6'2", 200-pound receiver that can win at the catch point.
With the overhaul at the receiver position, the Falcons needed a receiver who still has that physical edge as they keep building this team. Washington brings that physicality and is an immediate contributor to the special teams department.
He could develop into a worthwhile possession receiver for Cousins and Penix, but for now, his contributions will be mostly in the return and coverage game.
