  • Round 2
  • Round 4
  • Round 7* (from LAC)
  • Round 7 (from LAR)

Where Did Some of the Original Atlanta Falcons Draft Picks Go?

  • Traded a 3rd Rounder to New England for OLB Matthew Judon.
  • Forfeited a 5th Rounder in the Kirk Cousins Tampering Case.
  • 6th Rounder went to LAR in a swap (see above)
  • Traded a 7th Rounder to Philadelphia for DT Kentavius Street.

Bru McCoy, WR, Tennessee

Brianna Paciorka - USA Today Sports
  • 6-foot-3, 229 pounds
  • RS Senior
  • Age on Draft Night: 24

Bru McCoy is a traveled, cultured NFL Draft prospect. Elite high school football program Mater Dei>Southern Cal>Texas>Southern Cal again>Tennessee. Where does McCoy want to work? Anywhere apparently. Or nowhere? Let’s move.

The 2018 Maxwell Football Club Offensive National High School Player of the Year broke through in 2022 with Josh Heupel’s aerial offense for 52 catches, 667 yards, and 4 TDs before having his 2023 cut short (5 games played) due to an ankle injury.

In an NFL that is ever-trending toward smaller slot receivers, McCoy is a traditional, true X with height and bulk.

Adding on the X note, look at the Falcons receiver room in comparison to McCoy’s size:

Bring some size into this room in 2025. Head Coach Raheem Morris says “Slow feet don’t eat.” 4.5 speed at 6’3, 229 pounds….McCoy won’t be hungry.

Expect to see Volunteers Head Coach airing it out Saturday night versus his Alma Mater and former employer.

Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas

Petre Thomas - USA Today Sports
  • 6-foot-7, 282 pounds
  • Senior
  • Age on Draft Night: 22

2023 1st Team All-SEC EDGE Landon Jackson explained at SEC Media Days “Growing up, my main goal was always to play SEC football." Landon, tell that little kid the goal & dream goes to being a Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

A Top-100 high school recruit, Jackson began in the Bayou for the LSU Tigers, over his three years there and at Arkansas, he has 67 tackles & 9.5 sacks, with 44 tackles, 13.5 TFLs, and 6.5 sacks coming in a strong 2023. Through this time he has established a 4-7 tech versatility on the line of scrimmage with his 96th percentile height. 86th percentile weight, and 80+ percentile vertical speed. In the case of the Falcons, Jackson projects well for a defensive end role in Jimmy Lake’s 3-4 defensive scheme.

Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville

Jamie Rhodes - USA Today Sports
  • 6-foot, 192 pounds
  • 6th-year Senior
  • Age on Draft Night: 23

Run a 10.4 100M as a high schooler…yes… 3-star South Carolinian Quincy Riley hauls ass and Middle Tennessee was lucky to have him for three seasons before transferring.

It took Riley only 9 games in 2021 to snag 5 interceptions (4th in the country) on his way to 1st Team All Conference-USA. That’s all over the field too, and translated immediately to the ACC: 11 PBUs in 2023 both inside at the slot at Nickel and outside. Similarly, it translates to both zone (preference) and press coverage.

At this point, project Riley Day 2. Day 1 is not happening, and if Day 3 is happening, like they say about the NFL…..Not. For. Long.
