Solomon said he chose the Wolverines because the players "talked to me like i was truly family" on his official visit and head coach Jim Harbaugh "told me if I just worked hard and was dedicated like I was in high school, I could get a starting spot."
Solomon chose Michigan over Alabama, Georgia and USC. Solomon is Michigan's second five-star prospect in the 2017 class, joining wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones.
He'll have a chance to snag a starting spot right away, as the Wolverines are losing Taco Charlton, Chris Wormley and Ryan Glasgow on the defensive line.
