A college football icon was spotted at Chicago Bears training camp.

According to Chris Emma with 670 The Score, former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban was spotted attending Bears camp over the weekend. The reporter shared the news via X.

If you're wondering why Saban would be attending Bears camp of all the NFL teams out there, it's because of his previous relationship with Chicago's head coach, Matt Eberflus. Before he was the Alabama legend, Saban was the head coach at Toledo for one season in 1990. Eberflus was a starting linebacker for the Rockets during that season, and was an all-conference play who would eventually be inducted into the school's hall of fame.

Along with catching up, it's not a surprise that Saban and Eberflus got into the weeds talking about Xs and Os.

"We ended up spending about 30 minutes talking about coverages," Ebeflus told reporters.

Saban continues to do some side quests while enjoying his retirement. Along with making an absurd amount of money serving as an advisor to Alabama's football program, Saban is also spending this season working as an analyst for ESPN's College GameDay, where he'll be working with the iconic pregame show throughout the season.

It's unclear how much Saban did at Bears training camp. However, having that kind of legend at practice can't be a detriment to anything the team is trying to do ahead of the 2024 season.
