In case you wondered what kind of house an SEC head coach can afford, Kirby Smart is here to help you out.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that Smart has dropped the asking price for his home, which was previously the most expensive listing in Clarke County. Located just two miles away from Sanford Stadium, the 7,000-plus square-foot home is now being sold for $3.99 million.
Smart's house was previously on the market for $4.2 million so he's willing to drop the price for an interested buyer by $200,000. Just a tad cheaper for anyone trying to buy it.
Along with it being a giant mansion, the house sits on 2.2 acres of property in one of the most highly sought after areas of Athens. It has seven bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms in case you were looking to split the house with some friends and/or family.
Georgia fans shouldn't be too concerned with the listing. The Bulldogs gave Smart a 10-year, $130 million extension this offseason, so he's likely just looking for an upgrade heading into the 2024 season.
Smart has established himself as one of the best head coaches in college football. Although Georgia missed out on the College Football Playoff in 2023, they were back-to-back national champions the two previous seasons. Thanks to the expanded 12-team format, expect the Bulldogs to be competing for another national title this season.
Meanwhile, Smart and his family will keep trying to find a buyer for their home in Athens in case you know anyone who might want to give them a call.
