It pays to be a starting quarterback in the SEC.

It's been a busy offseason for Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jalen Milroe. As he prepares to usher in a new era of Alabama football with head coach Kalen DeBoer, he's also pursuing other opportunities off of the field.

One of those opportunities is coming with NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo. WVTM 13 in Tuscaloosa shared that Milroe is becoming the first athlete partner in the Greek Freak's media company, Improbable Media. Former college basketball star Jay Williams is a co-founder in the company.

"Joining the Improbable Media family is a game changer for me," Milroe shared. "Being a college athlete in this new world of NIL brings more opportunity but also challenges, so it’s important to have the right team around me. I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and expanding my own brand with Improbable."

Milroe turned into one of the most fascinating quarterbacks in college football in his first year as a starter. While he had his rough patches, he finished the year with second-team All-SEC honors. He finished the year throwing for 2,834 yards, 23 touchdowns, and six interceptions while rushing for another 531 yards and 12 scores.

The Crimson Tide will need Milroe to take a big leap forward in 2024. Along with multiple key players going pro, they also lost two stars in wide receiver Isaiah Bond and safety Caleb Downs to the transfer portal.

If Milroe can be more consistent this season, then Alabama should have an opportunity to get back into the College Football Playoff. That journey starts on August 31 against Western Kentucky.
