Big Ten media days officially kicked off on Tuesday and we saw and heard plenty from some of the head coaches and players that will be coming to a television and streaming device near you this fall. One of the six teams that took its turn at the podium and in front of the media on the opening day was the Wisconsin Badgers.
Head coach Luke Fickell had some things to say front and center at the podium in Lucas Oil Stadium, but it was a reaction he had to comments one of his players made during an interview after that many were talking about. It wasn't a long exchange, but Fickell probably overheard some comments he wasn't supposed to that offensive lineman Jack Nelson made when being interviewed by the Big Ten Network.
Nelson was asked whether it was easier for an offensive player to play defense or a defensive player to play offense and he was quick to point out that it's "easier for offensive players. Anybody can line up and chase the ball."
Unfortunately for Nelson, Fickell was walking by right at that precise moment and had a pretty funny reaction. You can see it below if you haven't already. Let's just say Fickell wasn't having any of it.

There are some things you probably wouldn't want your head coach to hear, and though the comments weren't exactly off-color, it wasn't appreciated by a coach who was a former Big Ten defensive player himself.
