The Northwestern Wildcats are traveling to Seattle this weekend to kick off Big Ten play and welcome new member Washington to the conference.

Washington is coming off of a rivalry game that surely stung — a 24-19 upset loss to the Washington State Cougars. Despite quarterback Will Rogers throwing for 314 yards and a touchdown, the game came down to a final-play stop by the Cougars on fourth-and-goal.

The Huskies came one game short of a national championship last year, and will now be facing stiffer overall competition upon their induction to the Big Ten.

Northwestern had an above-average season in 2023, going 8-5 and winning the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl against Utah 14-7. The Wildcats are not favored against the Huskies.

Last week, the Wildcats beat Eastern Illinois 31-7. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Jack Lausch passed for 227 yards and two touchdowns in just his second game as the play-caller.

This will be just the fourth time the two teams have met; the Huskies lead the all-time series 3-0. Here's everything you need to know about Washington vs. Northwestern on Saturday.
