The Washington Huskies are one of four new additions to the Big Ten Conference and have arguably one of the toughest schedules in college football.
The Huskies lost several key pieces in the offseason, including their head coach, Kalen Deboer, and first-round NFL draft picks Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze.
Jedd Fisch has had several stops along the college coaching and professional ranks. Fisch was previously with the Arizona Wildcats for three seasons. He also coached in the NFL for the Rams and had a stint with UCLA.
Despite how much talent the Huskies have lost, they managed to scoop up Will Rogers, a quarterback previously with Mississippi State, from the transfer portal. Denzel Boston and Giles Jennings are slated to start at wideout, but Cal transfer Jeremiah Hunter should be the piece of the puzzle that makes the offense explosive.
Washington will see some schematic changes defensively, as Stephen Belichick headed west to become the defensive coordinator, ending an eight-year run as an assistant on his father's staff in New England. There are question marks at most of the positions, but a big strength is linebacker Carson Bruener, who is coming off a season in which he had 86 total tackles.
Winning the Big Ten will be challenging, too, as Iowa and Michigan are just two of the many new opponents Washington will contend with beginning this season.
