It's best not to fan the flames of a team (and fanbase) that already had a monumental chip on its shoulder heading into Friday's PAC-12 Championship between the Utah Utes and the USC Trojans.
But, Trojans QB Caleb Williams supplied extra motivation when he arrived to Allegiant Stadium with his fingernails painted with black letters reading 'F— Utah.'

It's the second game in a row that Williams was spotted doing such a thing. He made headlines when he wrote 'F— ND' for the Trojans clash against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Hey, it worked the first time. Why not do it again?
But this time, Williams was facing a Kyle Whittingham-led team that was coming in as a bigger underdog than the three-point spread would even suggest. Ask Whittingham, and he'd tell you he had his team feeling as if they were 100-point underdogs.

"Pretty much everybody’s got them winning already and going to the playoffs and Caleb [Williams] winning the Heisman— that’s already been talked about," Whittingham said on Monday. "So, we love that role. We love that chip on our shoulder. Nobody giving us a chance. We seem to thrive in that capacity."

The Utes overcame an early surge by the Trojans, trailing 14-3 after the first quarter and down 17-3 in the first half. They fought back to tie it at 17 heading into halftime and then punched USC in the mouth on defense in the second half, exploiting a hobbled Williams on defense while executing both on the ground and through the air on offense.
The end result? A 47-24 win for the underdogs to claim back-to-back PAC-12 Championships and a berth to the Rose Bowl while eliminating USC from College Football Playoff contention.

And those painted nails? Well, people don't forget that easily, especially on social media.
So, it comes as no surprise that the Utah Utes Football social media team took the opportunity to roast Williams, using his nails against him.

Well played... well played.
When asked about his thoughts about it postgame, Utes QB Cam Rising had an equally colorful response.

Reporter: "Did you see that Caleb Williams had an expletive and Utah painted on his nails?"
Cam Rising: "It said F--- Utah?"
Reporter: "Yes."
Rising: "I don't give a s--."
One thing is for sure... there's no "W" in "F— Utah."
