There will be many scenarios in 2024 when Utah quarterback Cam Rising will connect with tight end Brant Kuithe to make big plays – two players with a combined 14 years of college football experience.

Both Rising and Kuithe are two of the nation’s best players at their respective positions and both are returning for a seventh season of college football after missing the entire 2023 season with injuries. Kuithe only played four games in 2022 as well.

Both players are also top NFL prospects. Pro Football Focus has Kuithe listed among the tight ends to watch in college football this season ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

From PFF: “Kuithe missed the entire 2023 season and all but four games in 2022 after tearing his right ACL and meniscus against Arizona. While he’s been mostly absent for the last two years, Kuithe still deserves a high ranking on this list for what he did in the three seasons prior.”

Kuithe was a three-time All-Pac-12 pick from 2019 to 2021, with over 600 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns in 2019 and 2021.

Utah moves to the Big 12 Conference from the Pac-12 in 2024 and opens the season on Aug. 29 at home against Southern Utah. Utah opens Big 12 play on Sept. 7 at home against Baylor.
