Ohio State has 'The Best Roster in the Last Decade' says Urban Meyer image

With the official College Football season approaching, fans and media members alike are getting excited for the talented teams to take the field. From returning players to transfers, there will be a lot of talent on display this season, and Ohio State may have the most out of everyone.

Fox analyst and former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer had high praise for the Buckeyes this season, giving a hot take on his show, The Triple Option:

"I talked to Jim Tressel about this," Meyer said, "I’ve read about them, I’ve watched them. This might be the best roster in college football in the last decade – as far as NFL talent, as far as depth."

With the return of wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and TreVeyon Henderson on the offensive side of the ball, as well as Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau leading the defense, Ohio State is looking scary. Not to mention, the additions of Caleb Downs, Will Howard, and Jeremiah Smith make the Buckeyes legit CFP title contenders.

The one thing Meyer was worried about with this star-studded roster, however, was how to keep everyone content and getting the "recognition" they deserve:

"Here’s the challenge … How do you keep all happy?" Meyer said. "Their schedule’s kind of a joke early on... the starters will probably play 30-40 plays in the first month of the season. That means statistically, they’re not gonna have many catches, the running backs are not gonna have many carries because you’re not gonna play those guys in the second half of those games".

As long as the Buckeyes keep their eyes on the prize, a national championship, the numbers will speak for themselves. In the meantime, Buckeye Nation has a lot to look forward to.
