For just the third time, UCLA and Hawai'i will face off in college football. The Warriors host the Bruins in Week 1 to kick off the 2024 season.
The two have played just twice, in 2017 and 2021, with UCLA easily taking home both victories. Can that change this year?
The Bruins are undergoing some changes this year, to say the least, but they won't experience the Big Ten until after facing Hawai'i. Regardless, it's a new era for them with DeShaun Foster taking over the program. The first-year head coach spent the last seven season in Westwood, so it's safe to say the program is in good hands.
On the other side, Timmy Chang enters his third season of coach of his alma mater. Hawai'i still has some work to do made, though. While it improved last season, it still finished 5-8. Anything is possible, though, and the Warriors will have some extra experience under their belt by the time they face the Bruins. They play Delaware State in Week 0 of the season, giving them extra practice time that could make all the difference.
