Georgia Tech will face Central Florida in the 2023 Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl on Friday, Dec. 22 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET, and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.

The Yellow Jackets' offense is led by redshirt sophomore quarterback Haynes King, who has 2,755 passing yards with 26 touchdowns. He has also run for 648 yards with nine touchdowns. King is one of only two players in the nation with at least 2,700 passing yards, 600 rushing yards, 25 touchdown passes and five touchdown runs this season, joining LSU’s Jayden Daniels.

Redshirt sophomore running back Jamal Haynes, a third-team all-ACC selection who ranks fifth in the league with 931 rushing yards this season, is on the verge of becoming the Yellow Jackets' first 1,000-yard rusher since 2017.

Georgia Tech redshirt senior defensive back and second-team all-ACC honoree Jaylon King ranks 16th nationally in interceptions (4) and 17th in fumble recoveries (2), along with 68 tackles, eight pass breakups and a blocked kick.

Georgia Tech sold out its ticket allotment for the bowl.

UCF is headed to the Gasparilla Bowl for the third time in history. The Knights defeated Florida, 29-17, in 2021 and earned a 48-25 victory against Marshall in 2019.

UCF defensive tackle John Walker is the first freshman All-American for the Knights since Matt Lee in 2020. He played in all 12 games and recorded 22 tackles, including five tackles for loss, two quarterback hurries and a pass breakup. Defensive end Tre’mon Morris-Brash led the Big 12 with 18.5 tackles for loss and ranked second in the Big 12 with 8.5 sacks.

UCF wide receiver Javon Baker led the league with 966 yards receiving and earned first-team all-conference honors. Baker is averaging 22.47 yards per reception — the third most in the nation.

UCF and Georgia Tech will play for the sixth time and the second consecutive season — with UCF winning 27-10 in 2022 in Orlando.
