The hotly-anticipated EA Sports College Football 25 promises to be the most realistic sports video game experience in recent memory — maybe to the point of some hurt feelings.

On a live stream of the game on July 14, superstar Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter was playing as Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and was sacked as he tried to scramble on a pass play.

Hunter was sitting next to Sanders at the time, with both players using Colorado as their team.

“The (offensive line) is realistic … yes very realistic!” Travis Hunter said.

“What you mean?” Sanders asked.

“(Expletive) can’t block for nothing,” Hunter said, laughing.

In 2023, Sanders threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and 3 interceptions in 11 games despite being sacked 52 times — the most of any quarterback in FBS.

Both Sanders and Hunter are projected as first-round picks in the 2025 NFL draft.
