Texas running back D’Onta Foreman didn’t get to experience a win Saturday against No. 16 West Virginia, but it’s still a day to remember for the Longhorn.
After tying Earl Campbell’s Texas record of seven straight 100-yard rushing games, Foreman was congratulated by Campbell himself at halftime.

Foreman had 167 yards in the 24-20 loss. He should break Campbell’s record next week against a weak Kansas defense that ranks 110th nationally with 224.3 yards per game.
The single-season rushing yards mark for the program was set by Ricky Williams in 1998, with 2,124 yards.
In nine games, Foreman has 1,613 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. If the Longhorns were better than 5-5 and seventh in the Big 12, Foreman would be more involved in the Heisman conversation. Though he should be considered regardless with those stats.
