TCU will have no shortage of insight or experience when it comes to its coaching staff in 2024, with head coach Sonny Dykes adding two former Big 12 Conference head coaches to his staff.
Dykes announced that former West Virginia and Houston head coach Dana Holgorsen and former Arizona State head coach Todd Graham will be on his coaching staff, serving in roles as analysts and advance scouts.
From ESPN: “Dykes said the two coaches will serve as analysts and advance scouts. Graham, who has a defensive background, will work with the offense. Holgorsen, an offensive mind, will work with the defense, with each trying to find weaknesses they'd attack from their point of view. ‘They're talented people that I have known for more than 20 years, who both have been very successful and have a unique perspective,’ Dykes said. ‘They can help us win.’ ”
Graham’s last head coaching job was at Hawaii in 2021, where he resigned after the season over allegations of player mistreatment. He has a 106-72 career record with head coaching stops at Tulsa, Pittsburgh, Arizona State and Hawaii.
Holgorsen has a career record 92-69 at WVU and Houston and was fired after leading the Cougars to a 4-8 record in 2023, their first year in the Big 12.
TCU went 5-7 in 2023 after going 13-2 in 2022 and advancing to the College Football Playoff national championship game.
