Running back Jeremy Hill will be allowed to play Saturday in LSU's home opener against UAB, The Advocate reported Friday.
The LSU running back was allowed to stay on the team after a team vote last month. In April, last year's top rusher for the Tigers was caught on video sucker-punching a man outside a bar. He pleaded guilty to misdemeanor battery, which was a probation violation of a previous misdemeanor.
Hill did not play in LSU's season-opening win against TCU. Coach Les Miles was non-committal this week regarding his status.

"We look forward to playing him as soon as he's ready," Miles told reporters.
LSU plays Kent State next week before opening its SEC schedule at home against Auburn on Sept. 21.
Hill led LSU last season with 755 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. The 6-2, 235-pound sophomore gained 107 yards and scored a touchdown in LSU's narrow loss to Alabama last season, while picking up 127 yards and a TD in the Tigers' win against Texas A&M
