Texas Longhorns QB Quinn Ewers is one of the top ranked signal callers in college football. The junior is running 3rd on the Heisman odds futures at most sportsbooks and led the Horns to the College Football Playoff last season.
But the Texan famously started his college career at Ohio State. Ewers shunned his childhood favorite, Texas, for the Buckeyes. But a crowded quarterback room that included incumbent C.J. Stroud, a coaching change in Austin and ever-changing transfer rules saw Ewers head home to Texas to play for the Longhorns.

Things have worked out for Ewers, who leads the highly-ranked Horns into Texas’ first season in the SEC. But before the SEC season opens, the Longhorns have a date with defending National Champion Michigan on September 7th.
When asked about the upcoming clash at SEC Media Days, Ewers was respectful of the champs, “Going up to the Big House, it’s going to be an awesome environment. The place is gonna be rockin’. Just because all of the hype because it’s an early game. You know, they’re coming off a really big win, the national championship.”
Then Ewers paused for a second and showed he still has some Ohio State in him, “Yeah, the ‘Team up North.’”
