Having a lot of players with huge NIL deals on your roster doesn’t necessarily translate to wins … but it really helps.

With aspirations of competing for a Big 12 Conference football title, Kansas only has one player listed in On3.com’s NIL valuation rankings with star quarterback Jalon Daniels at No. 35.

Daniels’ annual valuation was listed as $270,000 in 2023 and is “undisclosed” on the latest rankings. Daniels has sponsorship deals with Adidas, Wendy’s and Meritrust Credit Union, among others.

Another Big 12 quarterback took the No. 1 spot in the rankings — Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders at $4.7 million. Eight of the Top 10 spots in the NIL valuation rankings were quarterbacks.

Daniels, 6-foot and 215 pounds, was an All-Big 12 pick in 2022 despiting missing four games with injuries and sat out all but three games in 2023 with a back injury.
