P.J. Fleck reportedly finalizing new deal with Western Michigan image

P.J. Fleck’s boat looks like it will stay docked in Kalamazoo for the time being.

According to DetroitNews.com, Fleck is finalizing a new deal with Western Michigan that will keep him with he Broncos far beyond his current contract, which runs through 2020, and feature a hefty pay raise.

Fleck, 36, is arguably the hottest coaching commodity in the country after leading WMU to a 13-0 record, MAC championship and the Group of 5 berth in the Cotton Bowl just three years after going 1-11 in his first season. His name has been tied to openings at Oregon, Purdue and Cincinnati.

Now with a new deal coming down the pike, Fleck appears to still be Western Michigan's man — at least for one more season.
