Forget about Pac-12 After Dark; Saturday's California-Washington game in Seattle turned into Pac-12 After People's Bedtimes on the West Coast.

Severe weather delayed the Bears' and Huskies' conference opener at Husky Stadium for two hours and 39 minutes in the first quarter. After play resumed at 10:30 p.m. PT (1:30 a.m. ET), Cal (2-0, 1-0 Pac-12) earned a 20-19 victory over No. 14 Washington (1-1, 0-1). The contest ended at 1:23 a.m. PT Sunday (4:23 a.m. ET).

The winning points came on a 17-yard field goal by Greg Thomas with eight seconds remaining in the fourth quarter. Washington had taken a one-point lead on Peyton Henry's fourth field goal of the night, a 49-yarder, with 2:05 to play in regulation.

Lightning around the stadium halted play with 9:46 remaining in the first quarter. Strikes were visible through a purple evening sky.

The stadium lights went out as rain swept the area.

As for the rest of the game, Washington junior quarterback Jacob Eason completed 18 of 30 passes for 162 yards with no touchdowns and an interception in his first Pac-12 start. Eason sat out last season after transferring from Georgia.

Salvon Ahmed (21 rushes, 119 yards) scored Washington's lone touchdown, a 21-yard scoring run in the second quarter. Marcel Dancy scored both of Cal's touchdowns, on runs of 20 and 8 yards.

For more context on how late this game ended: The Oregon State-Hawaii contest in Honolulu, which began at 12:06 a.m. ET Sunday, ended at 3:39 a.m. ET, 44 minutes earlier than Cal-Washington's finish.
