Oregon vs. Washington final score, results: Huskies win Pac-12 championship to stay undefeated image

The Huskies are Pac-12 champions for the first time since 2018 and headed to the College Football Playoff for the first time since 2016.

In the second meeting, Washington again outlasted Oregon 34-31 to stay undefeated and take home the final Pac-12 championship. More importantly, the Huskies have earned a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

It was a Heisman showdown between Michael Penix Jr. and Bo Nix after a slow start for each.

Penix threw for 319 yards, with only one touchdown and one interception, but the quarterback still showed off with deep plays in crucial moments. Nix, who threw for 219 yards, three touchdowns and one interception, nearly led the Ducks back after being down 20-3. They scored 24 unanswered points to lead going into the fourth quarter, but Washington responded just as quickly.

A called-fumble by Penix was reversed to an incomplete pass in the fourth quarter led to the go-ahead touchdown for the Huskies. They scored again before Nix and the Ducks responded with two minutes left, but a failed onside kick all but guaranteed the win for Washington.

And now, we have three spots remaining in the CFP. The Huskies, at 13-0, will play for a national championship.

11:44 p.m. – That'll do it! Johnson races 18 yards, securing a first down and Pac-12 championship!

11:34 p.m. – It all comes down to Oregon's defense. The onside kick fails, and the Huskies take over at their own 45-yard line. The championship, and even playoffs, all come down to this.

Oregon 31, Washington 34

11:29 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – The Ducks aren't down yet! After review, Traeshon Holden stayed in bounds, resulting in a life or death 63-yard touchdown. They score within two plays and 30 seconds. Can Oregon come back in just 2:14 to stun Washington?

11:23 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – Quentin Moore's first career touchdown might just be the one for Washington! The Huskies are seven points closer to a Pac-12 championship. With only 2:44 on the clock, they lead Oregon by 10.

11:16 p.m. – Penix. Polk. Does it get much better than that?

11:04 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – Huskies retake the lead! Johnson jumps through the huddle to get the easy score. Washington leads by three with 12:23 left in the game.

10:55 p.m. – After review, Penix's fumble is changed to an incomplete forward pass. Should the call have stood, it would have been Oregon ball.

End of third quarter: Oregon 24, Washington 20

10:51 p.m. – A 31-yard pass? Penix makes it look easy.

10:47 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – James turns on the jets! He finds an easy 6 yards to score tand put the Ducks in front for the first time tonight with 1:51 left in the third quarter.

10:44 p.m. – After review, Oregon's touchdown is taken away. Nix's knee hit the ground at the Huskies' 9, but an offsides penalty advances the Ducks to the 6-yard line and first down.

10:42 p.m. – Nix skates down the field for an easy 44 yards to Washington's 11-yard line.

10:38 p.m. – That's a 4th down stop by the Ducks! Penix is sacked to turn the ball over at Oregon's 38.

10:29 p.m. INTERCEPTION – Right back at ya! Nix throws his own interception to Mishael Powell, and the Huskies get the ball right back at their own 41.

10:27 p.m. INTERCEPTION – Penix is intercepted! Khyree Jackson is there on the overthrow, and its Oregon ball at its own 40.

10:19 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – Nix to Ferguson! Being chased at 4th and goal, the QB gets it into Ferguson's hands for his second touchdown of the night. The Ducks trail by three just five minutes into the third quarter.

10:10 p.m. – Oregon has the ball to start the second half and comes out of the gates ready to go. Jordan James finds a 17-yard run to the Ducks' 42 on the opening play.

HALFTIME

Oregon 10, Washington 10

9:44 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – The Ducks don't go down with a fight! Nix finds Terrance Ferguson deep in the end zone to put a touchdown on the board before halftime. Washington still leads by 10.

9:42 p.m. – A controversial pass interference on Washington gives Oregon another chance. It's first and goal at the Huskies' nine rather than 3rd and 24.

9:37 p.m. FIELD GOAL – Gross nails his second field goal of the night with a 37-yarder. With only 1:39 remaining until halftime, Oregon trails by 17.

9:26 p.m. – Another poor drive from Oregon. It's the third three & out for the Ducks through four possessions.

9:19 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – There's no stopping the Huskies! Germie Bernard carries it four yards to the end zone, and Washington extends its lead to 14.

9:19 p.m. – The archer finds his target! Penix finds McMillan on a deep shot to advance 45 yards to the Oregon 4.

9:13 p.m. FIELD GOAL – Camden Lewis scores a 36-yard field goal for the Ducks' first points! They trail the Huskies by seven with 8:46 on the clock in the second frame.

9:01 p.m. – That's 17 yards and the first 1st down for Oregon! Nix finds Tex Johnson, who spins his way to the 29-yard line.

9:00 p.m. – Washington punts for the first time, and the Ducks take over at their own 10-yard line.

End of first quarter: Oregon 0, Washington 10

8:50 p.m. – The Washington pressure is too much. Nix turns and runs and has no choice but to throw it away. Oregon punts on 4th & 1.

8:43 p.m. TOUCHDOWN – Washington punches it in! A 5-yard path gives Dillon Johnson enough space to score the game's first touchdown. The Huskies jump to a 10-0 lead with 3:46 left in the quarter.

8:38 p.m. – The Huskies start their second drive hot! Germie Bernard returns the punt for 32 yards to the 50.

8:37 p.m. – It's a quick three & out for the Ducks. Nix fails to find a receiver, even hitting a ref on his first pass attempt.

Oregon 0, Washington 3

8:31 p.m. FIELD GOAL – The Huskies are on the board! Grady Gross puts the 38-yard attempt through the uprights for Washington's first points of the night. After the first drive, 7:34 is left in the first quarter.

8:20 p.m. – Jalen McMillan is back! Penix finds the receiver for 12 yards and a first down. He missed eight games before returning last week against Washington State.

8:16 p.m. – The Huskies will take the first snap in Vegas.

8:04 p.m. – Regardless of tonight's outcome, Penix will leave Washington better than he found it. In October, he set a program record of five games with at least four passing touchdowns.

8:00 p.m. – It's time.

7:36 p.m. – Troy Franklin, Jeff Basa, Bo Nix and Brandon Dorlus set to captain Oregon. For the last two, it may be their last collegiate game.

7:00 p.m. – T-one hour until we see a rematch between Bo Nix and Penix. Can the Ducks avenge their only loss when it matters most, or will the Huskies complete their undefeated season? 

6:40 p.m. – ICYMI, the Tigers are trying to make some noise in Vegas.
