Still riding the high of a big rivalry win, the No. 8 Oregon Ducks will travel down the coast to face a familiar foe this weekend in the UCLA Bruins.
Coming off of a bye week, Oregon is fresh going into Big Ten conference play. The Ducks trounced in-state rival Oregon State, 49-14, in their last game, giving fans hopes of a promising season even after the loss of star quarterback Bo Nix to the NFL.
His replacement Dillon Gabriel showed out against the Beavers, throwing for 291 yards with two touchdowns and running for another 64 yards. The Ducks tallied 550 offensive yards.
UCLA is not going to have a breakout season this fall, but it will try to hang with the big dogs. Despite losing to LSU last weekend, the Bruins competed well throughout the first half and even entered halftime tied with the Tigers. Ultimately, LSU's Garrett Nussmeier was too strong for the UCLA defense, bringing them back to reality in the second half.
