After multiple successful seasons, the Oregon Ducks will eye a College Football Playoff berth in 2024 in their debut season in the Big Ten Conference.
The Ducks have won 10 or more games in four of the last five seasons. Last year, the Ducks finished 12-2, with their only losses coming against Washington, which ultimately reached the National Championship Game.
While Oregon hasn't made a College Football Playoff since losing the national title in 2014, the expanded playoff field is a perfect opportunity. The Ducks were also able to keep their coach Dan Lanning, despite job offers from other top programs.
The Ducks had one of the most explosive offensives in the nation last season, and while quarterback Bo Nix and multiple other key players left for the NFL, the team brought in former Oklahoma star quarterback Dillon Gabriel, Texas A&M wide receiver Evan Stewart, and Washington cornerback Jabbar Muhammad to continue its dominance.
Oregon will have a new-look interior defensive line after losing four veterans and hopes to continue making strides after recording 34 sacks in 2023.
In a new look Big Ten, the Ducks will be legitimate contenders to win the conference in their debut season. Will they go all the way toward winning their first national championship in program history?
